.gob.pk is reserved for Balochistan's own provincial departments, so an office of the federal government belongs under .gov.pk instead, and a department based in another province should use its own provincial extension — .gop.pk for Punjab, .gos.pk for Sindh, .gkp.pk for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, .gok.pk for Azad Jammu & Kashmir or .gog.pk for Gilgit-Baltistan.

A registered NGO or development organisation working on Balochistan-based projects should register under .org.pk instead, while a private business, media outlet or individual is free to register the open .pk extension without submitting any documents at all.
